The myth says that the fisherman struggled for hours with the beast, until an unknown factor brought an end to their fight. However, unlike Hemingway’s story, he never saw the full extent of his prize. You see, this mysterious factor took a bite out of the already massive fish that had been tormenting him, leaving behind only the head.
The unseen hero of the story is «Σφυρίδα» (Grouper). The fisherman and the unknown creature may have many faces in the end, while the grouper was left with only a head.
