“Συναγρίδα” (Dentex) is a delicious fish that can reach up to 1.4 meters in length and 22 kilograms in weight. It typically has a silver- blue color that can change depending on its age and the environment where it “grazes.” I’ve never managed to catch this fish. But I found it towards the end of my studies, while working in a sculptor’s workshop in my Thessaloniki neighborhood. With this fish, I emerged from my jar-I was no longer a student, and perhaps I was finally beginning to learn.
